#Koalas
This could be a real game changer:
A vaccine which could save endangered koalas from the rampant chlamydia epidemic has been approved for rollout for the first time.
Thousands of koalas have died from chlamydia which can cause infertility and prolonged suffering from painful UTIs, conjunctivitis and blindness.
It is thanks to the dedication of scientists at UniSC who have worked for over a decade to develop the vaccine:
"It’s been a long road.…..there’s been points along the pathway I think we nearly gave up.”said Dr Peter Timms.
He stresses that the other factors driving koalas towards extinction must also be addressed:
"Habitat loss is the most important thing - if you haven't got a tree nothing much else matters."

Just having a cheeky giggle at the fact that the organiser for the March for Australia in Adelaide, is against multiculturalism, but her favourite food is Thai. 🤭
Cheers #MaggieBeer for highlighting poor food served to residents in #agedcare. Maggie is telling operators that if they use their brains they can provide quality #food at same cost.

Visits to South Australia to look at the catastrophic damage caused by the algae bloom are all well and good, but if you're serious about addressing the root cause of this national disaster, you would stop approving the new gas and coal projects that are fuelling climate change.
Australia needs more psychologists - and more critical thinkers. So why make those subjects four times more expensive than Latin or Greek?
It's past time for the government to undo the harm caused by Scott Morrison's Job Ready Graduates scheme.

Good move Minister @JasonClareMP re reduction in HECs debt. But to make Australia a smarter country we need to eliminate uni fees for all eligible Australians. See the Scandinavian model.
