Today, I have made the difficult decision to resign as a member of ODM.
I joined because I believed in the ideals the party stood for under Raila Odinga’s leadership. With Raila no longer at the helm of the party, and now the departure of Edwin Sifuna, I no longer see the political home I believed in.
This is not a decision made in anger, but one made after careful reflection. I remain committed to the values of democracy, accountability, and justice for all Kenyans.
Thank you to everyone I have walked this journey with.
Dear @edwinsifuna, As we continue waiting for you to launch your new political party, we as Kenyans would like to assure you you have our full support and we are ready to walk with you through this political journey till you are sweared in as the 6th president of Kenya. Before launching your party, you should keep in mind that we as Kenyans want a political party that will not only be for the western region but a national party. A party that will be able to field candidates across all regions in Kenya. Many people across the country including North Eastern, Rift-valley and Nyanza are eagerly waiting for your party since we are tired of being part of a clueless and a killer regime that we currently have. We all believe that you are the chosen one and the only one who can deliver Kenya from its current state to a more better place.#SisiNdioSifuna
Our 6th President Sen Sifuna on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) during the grilling of Kajiado Governor Ole Lenku has invited Ole Lenku to join Linda Mwananchi live live bana where the Governor's heart is.
Sifuna has also appreciated the ODM Party saying, “I might also have my own issues with ODM, but I continue to be very proud of the work that we have done in producing some of the good examples of how devolution can work.”

On the day Baba was buried, I wrote the post below…
It is well @edwinsifuna. Soldier on! The reward set before you is far greater than the affliction you have endured.
It is a national shame to hear ODM Linda Tumbo beg William Ruto to become a "benevolent dictator." Let’s be clear: Ruto is already a dictator. We see it every day in the forced abductions, the trumped up charges against dissenting voices, the forced passage of the punitive Finance Bill, and the illegal fire sale of our public assets. The "D" in ODM stands for Democracy. It is a betrayal of the highest order for these words to come from the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga family, a family whose blood, sweat, and tears bought the very freedom we enjoy today. To abandon that legacy is to spit on the sacrifices of our liberation heroes.
Today, we stood with the Mijikenda elders at the Coast, and their message was loud, clear, and heartbreaking. The Kenya Kwanza regime has completely abandoned them through broken development promises, ongoing historical land injustices, and the terrifying reality of outsiders acquiring illegitimate title deeds while locals remain squatters.
Furthermore, the economic sabotage is undeniable: the Port is now controlled by a select few, vital industries like the Changamwe Oil Refinery lie dead, and the privatization of Bandari College into an unaffordable academy has effectively locked locals out of the blue economy and decimated coastal fishing.
The Coastal people are tired of being sidelined, exploited, and ignored.
Today, the Coast has spoken with one thunderous voice: Ruto Must Go! When democracy is under siege, Linda Mwananchi is the only shield left for the ordinary Kenyan. The Coast is the backbone of Kenyan politics, and we will not leave them behind in our march toward a fair, equal, and liberated nation.
Enough is enough!
