It’s going to take a lot for me to move off the 27 Nets and 27 Suns picks if I’m the GM of the Rockets. I learned this postseason we’re not quite as close as initially thought.
The Nets traded three first-round picks and one first-round swap to regain control over their 2025 and 2026 first-round picks so they could tank.
They move down a combined five slots in those two lotteries. Absolutely brutal.
Brooklyn finishes with the 6th pick.
The Rockets traded 2025 Brooklyn (#8) and 2026 Brooklyn (#6) picks for 2025 Phoenix (#10) and control of three future picks - 2027 Phoenix, 2029 Phoenix, 2029 Dallas.
And the Rockets still control Brooklyn's unprotected pick next year.
My thought on 2026 lottery
This good lottery for Rockets even if we didnt have a pick
Nets fall 6 and we got they unprotected next years
no crazy team jumped up like okc or warriors
Wizard add AJ or Petterson to that core will be fun to watch
A lot of things can be true:
- The Kevin Durant burner saga cast a dark cloud over the team that impacted the locker room. Pretty disappointing to hear that was never actually addressed.
- Kevin Durant was undeniably the best Rocket this season. There were so many games where his two-way impact was the only reason this injured Rockets team won the game.
- From STRICTLY a value and on court production standpoint, the Kevin Durant trade was overwhelmingly the right decision. You make that trade 7 days a week.
- I do not want to trade Kevin Durant this summer.
Idk man, I wasn’t as moved as most people by our wins this series. I really don’t wanna bring this same team back. I’m cool with keeping most of the young guys, but the surrounding talent 100% needs to be different come next year
If Udoka is gonna stay we need a offensive coordinator bad the offense have been terrible watch since he got here but hustle and offensive rebounding saved us
It does suck we going out this way but better to not give the team false hope.
Hope the front office can finally see all the flaws we have with this roster there should be no excuses for all the problems not to be adressed #Rockets
We need nba player that can hit wide open 3 its 2026 bruh
we need a bench that can play basketball
get a back up guard PG or SG that can score and handle the ball
Reed gonna have a important off season if he wanna stay
PLS DONT RUN SAME TEAM BACK WITH FRED AND ADAMS BACK
Thank you Jabari smith jr showed out tonight when needed and been good all series outside that bad to in game 3
Now go win game 6 and anything can happen
Perhaps Amen/Sengun don’t work long term. I want to see them surrounded by actual spacing before I come to that conclusion. I maintain the biggest issue with the Rockets is that we are a team full of wings who can’t shoot or dribble.
