@currentchapter @DanielBGreene Yeah I kind of think that’s the point of those intros, but I could be misremembering. Its really up to you, there’s no right or wrong way through the cosmere. I think I read some of the planet stuff before reading the novels (i.e. taldain before white sand) and didnt feel spoiled

@currentchapter @DanielBGreene Secret history is probably best after bands of mourning (could be read after era 1, but some BoM spoilers). Edgedancer after Words of Radiance. Hope of Elantris after Elantris. Other than that, if I remember correctly the rest can be really read at any time.

Also my point was less about the action specifically, but rather it was a deviation from the source material so he didn’t like it. Say what you will about the focus on action, but they changed practically everything from books. That was my point.

@DanielBGreene I remember him saying he felt PJ over emphasized the action, turning his father’s work into an action film appealing to younger audiences and lost the beauty and intricacy of the world in the books.

With all that in mind it’s crazy for Amazon to state Tolkien would approve ROP.
