@HowlingToad I’d argue against the idea the visuals are an automated afterthought! It’s very intentional, creative, and directed process. And not intended as a tech demo at all… what possible better way to contribute to conversation about the human cost of technology than diving into it?
@ItsJustPainAA@TheWaffleIron27@Fandango No I mean I cowrote a 100-plus page script. The dialogue and scenes? With another human and not AI… pretty sure that still qualifies as writing, no?
@TheWaffleIron27@Fandango I helped make it (I’m the cowriter). And a few dozen others. Lot of people to kill for trying to make a movie (which is about the consequences of surrendering our humanity to technology).
@Steggyful@mr__joba@Fandango I cowrote this movie. I have a soul! So do the few dozen other folks who worked nine months on it. Maybe people won’t like it, that’s fine. But it’s an earnest effort at creating something interesting and new and challenging.
@TheCinesthetic As the cowriter on this I can attest that a few dozen people (writers, voice actors, musicians, editors etc.) put a lot of thought, creativity, and nine months of time into it. Regardless of feelings on AI, as far from one-shotted slop as you can get.
