BREAKING: President Trump just announced that the United States will stop bombing Yemen IMMEDIATELY, saying they have called and conceded defeat.
"The Houthis have announced to us at least that they don't want to fight anymore. They just don't want to fight. And we will honor that."
BREAKING: The Cabinet Meeting in Israel last night approved an operational plan that will include the takeover of the Gaza Strip, the control of the territories by Israel, and the advancement of Trump's plan to relocate Gazans to other countries.
@shadihamid When someone says they're Pro-Israel it's also implied that they support the IDF. Most likely Netanyahu as well. Of course I support all three. I see it as something of a package deal. I gather that you don't view the Palestinian cause the same way. But I do.
I usually just say Pro-Palis. But there doesn't seem like there are many Pro-Palis who aren't also Pro-Hamas. And I guess that makes sense because Hamas is the group that most clearly represents the Pro-Pali cause.
There's a profound imbalance in the Israel debate. Nearly all mainstream pro-Palestinian voices take care to distinguish between Israel and Jews. But pro-Israel voices are routinely anti-Palestinian, using "pro-Hamas" as shorthand for anyone who supports the Palestinian cause.
Now I figure you'll say that supporting Palestinian resistance and supporting Hamas aren't the same thing. But Hamas is the main Palestinian resistance group. So I think it stands to reason that if they openly support Palestinian resistance and they're not actively denouncing Hamas that they probably support Hamas.
People are celebrating that Trumpโs National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, was fired because he was working with Netanyahu to push America into a war with Iran.
But why did Trump appoint someone like that in the first place? The rest of his Cabinet is hardly any better.
Yemenโs survival hinges on USAID and the World Food Program, with 19 million peopleโover half the populationโdependent on aid to avoid starvation.
Of these, 17 million are food insecure, including 2.2 million malnourished children. Trump and Muskโs $1.3B aid cuts threaten a catastrophe, with estimates of 218,708 deaths, including 147,852 children, in the next yearโa rate of 103 deaths per hour.
The WFP calls this a โdeath sentenceโ for millions. Slashing aid to score political points is beyond immoralโitโs a betrayal of humanity.
