Dolly Parton was sometimes described as a goddess. But I always thought of her as a bodhisattva. In Mahayana Buddhism, bodhisattvas are creatures on the cusp of enlightenment who forgo the eternal bliss of nirvana to stick around to help out the rest of us schmucks.

The reason why every major thought leader on Twitter will miss the real cause is because they all call one of those three worldviews "home".

Among other things, Traditionals will see this as a disease of the left and breakdown in moral values (partial, but not wrong).

Moderns will see this as a breakdown in rational discourses and social systems to detect and regulate violence (partial, but not wrong).

Postmoderns will see this as an inevitable consequence of social dominance-backlash, and capitalism and its hegemony of violence (partial, but not wrong).

The Integrative Worldview says it's all of the above, but that those are all symptomatic of a deeper metacrisis.

What causes the metacrisis? Our worldviews!

That's the Mobius Strip that we need our elites to see that they are trapped within. Our very ways of thinking and relating are generating the deep root cause that then perpetuates the crisis of our ways of thinking and relating, even as those very massive structures of thinking and relating—those worldviews—have built-in defenses to keep themselves replicating and denying the realities of the others.

The bottom line is we will not solve the problems generated by our current levels of consciousness with our current levels of consciousness.

Which is why millions of people from the Integrative Worldview have dedicated their lives to inviting others to join them in moving to a form of thinking and relating that is broader, deeper and more loving of all we find in this extraordinary, beautiful and sometimes tragic cosmos.
