just learned about this regional difference in definitions for the word "nonplussed" and it kinda ruined my day. the way we use it in america is basically an antonym to how it's used anywhere else. why are we like this?

This is the second tweet I've seen today that just doesn't know what quotes are for. You can't just reword what someone said, it's no longer a quote. Frustratingly, both tweets were things I was agreeing with, but we gotta learn how quotes work man
