@alexbaugh_@22andmanymonths@EmpireCityBO I’m not saying it wouldn’t underperform but the reality is no one outside of Twitter even knows this movie is coming out. It’s not a great way to judge a movie that is under circumstances that have almost never been seen before.
@EmpireCityBO@alexbaugh_ For reference I’ve seen about 70 movies in theaters this year. I haven’t seen the Coyote vs acme trailer play before a single one of them. People can’t see what they don’t know exists.
@EmpireCityBO@alexbaugh_ It’s the same film under extremely different circumstances. At one time this was a July blockbuster now it’s a late August release under a studio that can’t market. Name one ketchup release that got any love by the company.
@EmpireCityBO Studios need to figure out what movies work in the summer and what don’t. Summer is so packed that a movie underperforming often means a total and complete failure rather than just a minor disappointment
@Beyondreporter1 We had this exact same song and dance with a wb horror movie that came out April last year. That movie was just meh. Idk somebody’s got a vendetta against wb
@GlobalBoxOffice I don’t think it’s gonna be about ow for this movie, it’ll be about its legs. Not a lot of young kid competition for the rest of summer after it comes out, it’ll unfortunately do well.
@ScottDMenzel I think a problem is that a lot of these folks watched the movie days ago. Usually they try to line it up so the reactions are immediate where that just didn’t happen this time around
