Someone forwarded me a clip from the Bongo Flava 30 Years celebration where MwanaFA was introduced to the crowd with his classic hit Mabinti. I was living in Germany when he mentioned my name in the lyrics: ”…kuna pozi za Mtoni kama Tausi Likokola…” among many other names mentioned in the song.
Those were better days for Tanzania. Days when many of us proudly celebrated our country for its peace, unity, and hope.
Then, just minutes after FA took the stage, politics entered the conversation, and the crowd responded with boos. To me, that moment reflected the frustration, disappointment, and political polarization that many people feel today.🇹🇿
Watanganyika wamechoka.
A nation once admired for its peace and unity is now deeply divided. You crowned yourselves into leadership that people have rejected, and they will continue rejecting you unless justice is served.
History has a way of marking defining moments. October 29, 2025, became one of those moments. It will never be business as usual-a turning point that changed Tanzania forever.
The call for truth, accountability, justice, and national healing has not disappeared. If anything, it continues to grow. It shows everywhere-nationally and internationally.
Mwenye Macho Aone-eeh!
@magwaz3 It's not about her, let's rebuild strong systems, Tanzanias have been denied access to constitution, most still by ujamaa laws, they are only exposed to bongo music,as long as they sing, eat and sleep ,other things don't concern them.Polive are bribed .Corruption is the issue not her
Many Tanzanians and Ugandans do not understand the freedoms and rights which Tundu Lissu and Kizza Besigye seek. They are like freed slaves born in their owners’ farms. They have never known freedom nor where to find it. That is why they object to being liberated by Kenyans.
No African should have to go through such torture at the hands of an African government.
Tanzanian Government, including the President and Members of Parliament, defended and supported their security agencies who did this to their neighbors’ children.
Kenya and Uganda governments were complicit in the torture suffered by @bonifacemwangi and @AAgather. To date the two governments have not demanded justice for their nationals. If anything Kenya’s President actually apologized to Tanzania. For what?
As Kenyans, Ugandans and Africans in general, we will not let this go. We shall never forget. We will fight for justice.
I have watched the video of Boniface Mwangi recounting his harrowing ordeal at the hands of his Tanzanian captors, and it is deeply distressing. Are we seriously saying that a whole President can order the sodomization of a Kenyan, and we sit back clapping as if nothing is wrong? Calling Boniface a 'paid activist' is absurd no amount of money can justify a man being stripped of his dignity.
@StandardKenya Sad that they had to undergo such a painful ordeal then instead of the Kenya government to demand for justice, the President apologised to the female fascist dictator Samia.
Agather Atuhaire: Uganda, we are being ruled by a dictator, but when I arrived in Tanzania, Museveni was like Angel Gabriel. Tanzania is the only country where lawyers are being ordered around like children. Boniface Mwangi and I were abducted by thugs inside a police station.
I stand in solidarity with all those who strongly condemn the brutal acts committed against religious leaders. An attack on a priest is not just an offense against an individual, but a blatant disregard for our values, dignity, and the honor of our society. It is the responsibility of the government—particularly the ruling party CCM and President Samia Suluhu Hassan—to ensure justice is served and the perpetrators are held accountable. Tanzania must remain a nation of peace, respect, and justice for all.✊
Foolishness lies in repeatedly engaging in the same actions while expecting different outcomes.
Then we end-up with CCM securing over 90% of parliamentary seats, what comes next?—Wait another 5years, Tutakuwa hai kwanza? is Life guranteed? We must take advantage to any chance we get to fix this country.
