10 years ago today, Britney Spears released her ninth studio album, “Glory”.

The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 111,000 units in its first week, becoming Britney’s ninth consecutive Top 5 album in the US and top 10 in 24 countries. It also debuted at #1 in Italy, Ireland and the Czech Republic, while reaching #2 in the UK and #3 in Germany.

“Glory” received widespread critical acclaim, earning a 71/100 on Metacritic and being praised for its production, vocals and mature pop/R&B sound.

The era spawned “Make Me…” — which peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 — and “Slumber Party” with Tinashe, which reached #86. Both singles topped the Dance Club Songs chart.

Since then, “Glory” has continued to accumulate sales and streams, with current estimates placing its global equivalent sales at over 600,000 units.

10 years later, “Glory” remains one of the most beloved albums in Britney’s catalog.
