Today, that’s changing.
We’re closing a loophole that let trusted adults avoid accountability for preying on 16- and 17-year-olds. And we’re eliminating the statute of limitations in rape cases when new DNA evidence identifies the offender.
To every survivor who spoke out and fought for this change, and the Legislators who helped get this to my desk: thank you.
