If the church is to be strengthened, homes restored, and pulpits made faithful again, it must recover qualified men.

“When our enemies heard that it was known to us and that God had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail” (Neh. 4:15-16).
After yesterday’s anti-ICE protests at Cities Church in Minneapolis, I’m reminded of the book of Nehemiah. As Christians, we must not permit the wicked to turn us into cowards. Take up sword in one hand, tool in the other, and worship the Lord. #joyofthelord
@TomHicks2LCF They’re hypocrites. Lawless and godless hypocrites, angry at God, His Word, and His people. They will do whatever they can to support wickedness.
@tomascol@gracebaptist Many pastors/elders think it will never happen in their churches. Once upon a time, that may have been true. But we need to be prepared. Preparedness is not a lack of faith, nor is it a sign of fear. It’s a sign of wisdom.
@piratechristian It’s all about building a platform for these guys, and latching on to whatever idea/personality will secure the greatest number of followers at that time. Their followers want to feel like they’re part of something and buy in with no discernment.
@ScottAniol This is needed. A lot of guys today are just bad faith actors who either purposefully ignore hermeneutical principles to have the worst hot-takes possible, or they genuinely don’t know and don’t care about proper hermeneutics.
The present confusion in the Reformed world over “race” is nothing more than a sinful revival of old kinist errors. It ignores the plain teaching of Scripture that all men are descended from Adam. We’re one human race, equally fallen, with only one gospel by which God saves.
@SlowToWrite The crazy part about needing to say this is that a brief reading of the New Testament would pretty easily demonstrate the truth of your statements and the falsehoods of those stating otherwise.
John Knox was one of the most remarkable pastors, thinkers, and reformers that the West has ever known. Born in the turbulent era of the 16th century, Knox became known as a bold defender of the Christian faith who suffered greatly for the sake of the gospel of Christ and His Church. Yet, despite immense conflict with the Roman papacy, various kingdoms, and even his own countrymen, Knox made it abundantly clear that he would resist tyranny and obey God at every turn. Half biography, half historical theology, Jacob Tanner examines the life and times of this courageous reformer to see what modern Christians can learn from him.
