One of the unsung heroes of the Second World War. Colonel Nina Vasilyevna Sokolova. I have recently written a paper which documents the achievements of this fascinating lady and her exploits during the Siege of Leningrad which will be released for publication in 2022.

As part of the terms of the capitulation, Marshal Junot secured British ships to repatriate his troops and plunder back to France. Wellesley, Dalrymple and Burrard faced significant criticism.

As the chief coordinator of the Mulberry Harbour construction program, Major General Sir Harold Wernher privately published 10 copies of his wartime account for his family. Entitled, World War II Personal Experiences. I now own a copy. A fantastic account.
