The trickiest part of running a service business is staffing and recruitment. In order to scale you need to find good people and retain them long term. The steps below have helped me acquire 15+ long term staff.

Officially have 19 cleaners and 2 office staff leading into the new financial year. 21 total. We’re taking on 2-3 new cleaners each month and have just landed a lucrative contract with over 700 available jobs. This small business is seeing some huge growth over the last 12 weeks
What a shit show of a week that was, employees sick, clients sick… felt like all I was doing was rescheduling and handling cancellations. Plus a public holiday on Monday. Still had 70 cleans this week tho so not the end of the world! Will bounce back next week
Delayed gratification is a huge requirement for long term success in business. Most people quit after 6 months/1 year/2 years etc. It might not feel like it but the work you’re putting in now is going to compound and give you a huge ROI in the years to come. Don’t give up.
16 cleaning jobs booked today, just under 80 for the week. We currently have around 120 regular customers over the course of a fortnight, pushing for 100 a week by the end of July. Will give us around $15k a week revenue.
What people don’t realise about an “overnight success”is the 6-10 years of grind and hard work leading up to that moment. Building a business is no different. These things take patience and time, slow and steady wins the race.
