Correct. And then Detroit let Miami take him in the Rule 5 draft. Detroit didn’t see the need to hold onto him. Hicks most likely would not be doing this in Texas. Miami unlocked something for him. Just like they did with Stowers.
@Rangers__Nation Meh. This is a casual take and shows how little the Rangers fanbase understands baseball. Detroit left him off their 40 man roster and he was available to the entire league via the Rule 5 draft.
Today the #Rangers reportedly acquired LHP Mackenzie Gore ($44.7M) from the #Nationals in exchange for IFs Gavin Fien ($11.6M) and Devin Fitz-Gerald ($6.8M), RHP Alejandro Rosario ($7.1M), OF Cabrera ($2.3M) and 1B Ortiz ($1.4M)

I understand the fans frustrations about Adolis. We can acknowledge that yes, he hasn’t performed since the ‘23 playoffs and that sucks. But we can also enjoy what he means for the franchise and also be critical of his performance recently.
