@baldridgecpa@TKopelman@AllStWealth Question on the RIA & tax firm: Are these going to be separate companies or all one entity? What are legalities/compliance around this?
@reeseharpercfp @TKopelman Reese, I feel the heart of your question. For me, 100% equities is tied to SR. The higher the SR, the less I care about volatility because I know I will have more cash next month to buy more at lower prices or replace what I have “lost” if a near-term expense arises.
@_nickoliver I don’t view this as a way to optimally have more dollars in the account. I think of it as a way to have more flexibility with your money before 59.5 and after. But insurance is not the answer to the tax or flexibility issue..
@_nickoliver Nah, not double. But the same brackets is common. Issue really arises when one spouse dies and the surviving spouse has to take the same size RMDs as a single filer.. then you are pay more tax on SS and potentially IRMAA on Medicare.
@_nickoliver Nick, what’s up! All of my clients who have most of their wealth in tax-deferred accounts wish everything wasn’t tax-deferred. Sometimes they are paying more tax in retirement than while they were working.. Big fan of the taxable investment account.
