Phillies could have traded Andrew Painter for a premier player that easily could have won them a world series in ‘23 or ‘25, they didn’t do so, and now he is just Taijuan Walker with less personality
@StottsAndTotts Never called it quits on him. My tweet was saying it was crazy to rule him untouchable in those deadlines. For every Miz there is a Spencer Howard
@JonathanJWagner@DalyDoseOfHoops They would lose to the 2016 Cavs easily. And would get smoked by those Lebron Heat teams. They are a product of peaking basketball alongside good matchup luck. Even with a sweep, I don’t know how you can really view them as an all time great team. All time playoffs run, sure
@SchweikertSteve Absolutely. In the end there is a player dev issue at the top. Best homegrown talent since Nola is one of Kerkering/Stott/Bohm. Not counting Sanchez, although he’s a player dev success at a later level. Hoping for better outcomes with Miller, Wood, even Painter, etc
@KowaiRin Haven’t written him off yet. Still think he can be a fine starter, or even better. My original point is that the team had him untouchable when they should not have
@Ranger2Marchan Buxton? Don’t need to go through every team to pick out guys we could have gotten in return for Painter. Most feasible guys are on the block for him at that time
