An unfortunate byproduct of mainstream indie animation exploding in production value is that promising small-scale animations like this will get roasted by people who don't know any better.
A lot of people want “indie” until it actually looks indie; imperfections and all.
They actually could’ve made this a 2d movie. I’m not saying this because of bias for 2d animation, but it wouldn’t have made a difference if they made it 2d because kids and parents would’ve watched it either way.
