@americannative_ America was discovered thousands of years before these people were born. Even Clovis culture is now being questioned as 10,000 years after new archeological evidence.
@akafaceUS Rising inequality is real, and the chart shows that. But if you want to more accurately portray the relative condition of the various economic classes, it's better to measure against themselves. No group is worse off over time.
Solid point, there is very much a psychological component, and what you describe is truly reality. The commonly spread statistics always focus on the vast increase in wealth of the 1% without also mentioning that all other classes have come up as well, just not by the same percentage. If you receive SNAP benefits, you eat better than the kings of the 19th century.
Arguments against socialism aren't excuses for valid criticisms in the US economy. I would say, definitionally, that what you're describing is crony capitalism and not a free-market. Preferential tax agreements, bail-outs, and political favoritism are examples of corruption, not inherent mechanisms. This is why I advocate for as small a government as possible- the less market interference, the better.
@DanTheLituanian It's hard and expensive to care for sick people. That's why Canada is euthanizing them. Your comment makes sense when you accept people like that exist.
@ZacksJerryRig@Tesla Is this the life you thought you'd be living?
Hours each day chasing Tesla and Elon, supporting the platform he owns to cry and throw insults like a petulant child?
Do people respect you?
