I totally disagree with Gary Neville's comments.

I also totally disagree that he should be sacked for making them.

Because we are not (yet) an Islamist state, he is free to continue being a great football pundit despite holding problematic political opinions.

Because he is an otherwise sensible chap, I hope that in time, he might see the folly of refusing to criticise Islamism while he still has the chance.
