The Jacot Lab published on a bioreactor for vascularization of tissue engineered constructs in Tissue Engineering Part A. Designed by Gates Institute summer intern Maggie Jewett and implemented by MS student Evelyn Ibarra. https://t.co/1CDeYrcnGr
“This research could make a really transformative difference. We’ve been fixing hearts the same way since 1980. This would change the way we do congenital heart surgery.” - Jeffrey Jacot, PhD

Big congratulations to Jacot Lab member Alyssa Salazar for winning 1st place in the poster competition at in the (virtual) 2020 CU Research and Creative Activities Symposium #RaCAS@CUDenverBIOE
@ChristiansenLab We are completely shut with just maintenance since March 16. I have a plan to reopen and we are just writing review papers. I have no idea when we wil be allowed and think it could be soon but get emails asking for plans if we were closed through November.
I waited on this until I had that person's permission to say it was my lab, not just somebody in Bioengineering. But I see so many people still aggregating and want to make sure they know this is happening.
A lab member has corona virus (symptoms have passed and that person is well ) and the entire lab is self-isolating. Just the extra stress and worry is difficult. Wanted to tell other labs in the US with multiple people still coming that the risk isn't worth it.
