Through the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture Rwanda (YEA-R) program, a five-year initiative by the @MastercardFdn and implemented by a consortium led by @SNVRwanda , including @HoReCo_Rw and other partners, farmers from the Kivumu Group in @MusanzeDistrict are transforming their livelihoods through professional farming, entrepreneurship, collective action, and a strong saving culture.
YEA-R aims to create 40,000 dignified and fulfilling work opportunities for young people in Rwanda’s agri-food sector by 2029, particularly in the horticulture and poultry value chains. The program is creating inclusive opportunities for youth, women, and persons with disabilities to actively participate in agricultural value chains and build resilient livelihoods.
By empowering farmers today, YEA-R is helping build stronger communities, create jobs, and contribute to a more prosperous Rwanda tomorrow
