With "Blue: The Life and Art of George Rodrigue" (Rodrigue Blue Dog Film) scheduled for release in June on PBS stations nationwide, Disney and Pixar now present "George and Blue!"
In this zany animated romp, George, a quirky Cajun artist, accidentally brings his iconic Blue Dog to life with a splash of magic paint. Together, they battle a snobby critic (Timothee Chalamet) bent on draining the bayou’s color, joined by a crawfish, a dancing heron, and a ghostly accordionist. It’s a wild ride of art, heart, and barking madness—coming April 1, 2026!

🎭🎸 Congratulations to Saturday Night Live on 50 incredible years! 🎉
George Rodrigue was a lifelong fan of SNL, especially The Blues Brothers—their energy, style, and spirit resonated deeply with him. “The Blues Brothers connection with the Blue Dog was a natural for me, and I had fun, from idea to execution, painting their faces blue with the Blue Dog," he once said.
In 2004, George celebrated his 60th birthday with a special tribute, as his sons, André and Jacques, took the stage as The Blues Brothers—a full-circle moment honoring one of his favorite acts. Check out the moment here: https://t.co/6UyMSynUIR
