"On Sunday, you can go to church, but you can't do anything else."
Me: Well, at least I have the other 6 days of the week.
"Oh no, you have to sacrifice one other night during the week for your calling."
Me: Do I get paid for this?
"Ha! No. In fact YOU pay US!"
Me: How much?
"10% of your income"
Me: I need a drink
"I have terrible news..."
@latterdaylaura Land of stories. If I remember correctly, they don’t instill any woke messaging. My brothers and I both enjoyed the books when we were younger. Very entertaining and funny (haven’t ready them in years though).
Update: I was deciding between marriage now or after the mission. I prayed and received revelation that I need to act I faith to receive my answer. I will be going on the mission. However, if God gives me new revelation while I’m on the mission, I will act accordingly.
But for now I’m going to serve with all my heart in the Montana Billings mission unless God informs me otherwise. My mission scripture is 1 Nephi 11:17. I do not know every detail of God’s will, but I do know that he loves and wants the best for each of us.
I don’t know why God wants me in Montana, but I know He needs me to serve for some reason. I have been told without a doubt that I need to go on my mission. Of course, it could be a way to test my faith just to see if I’d go (little bit of Genesis 22).
