@Bhess @mat1_u There is a documentary a out it you can go watch it, that fake friendliness very much was part of it. Germans generally don’t like to be approached the way Walmart employees where trained to do. It’s just a completely different culture

@iindaparty @nyaraVT Europe also doesn’t have great public transit in rural areas and I know a lot of people in east Germany that have a 45 minute commute

@TerravonRiegan @nyaraVT Lots of places in Europe don’t have that either. Rural areas are dependent on cars to make shopping trips or get to work and so on. It’s usually only in bigger cities where most people living in it don’t even have a car that they are walkable and have good public transit
