Nashville-based crime fiction writer, workshop instructor, and writing coach. My books are on the dark side, but I love animals, ballroom dance, and sparkles.
It's not to late to register for the Saturday sessions. I'm looking forward to teaching my "Sell Your Books, Not Your Soul" workshop tomorrow and learning from the other presenters.

@kategabrielle I love your house. You can tell a lot of love and passion went into it. I hope some of the creative ideas in this thread will help you be able to keep it!

@StephenKing I was 14 when I read this book, alone in the house at night. Turning pages, enjoying the story. “Oh, this isn’t so scary.” Then Danny Glick appears in the window, and all of a sudden I’m ransacking my room for the glow-in-the-dark cross I got at Vacation Bible School last summer.
It’s funny, I asked everyone what they thought this piece was going to be and the majority of people said ‘panther’ (presumably because I started with the dark layer of fur).
There are lots of methods and styles of painting, but working in acrylic, I paint dark to light and when I look at an animal, I don’t see a ‘white snow leopard’, I see layers and layers of fur; the front layers casting dark shadows on the bottom layers and the light source brightening the front layers.
