Most people think a knee replacement means getting a brand-new knee.

Not exactly.

A total knee replacement is really a resurfacing procedure. We remove the worn-out cartilage and replace it with smooth metal and plastic surfaces so the joint can glide again—similar to resurfacing a damaged road instead of rebuilding the entire highway.

This technique I stole from Peds worked well. https://t.co/sEF7p19Vny. Dislocate, subcapital cut to access screw tip, core reamer retrograde and screw stays in reamer.
