@afaris1978 @JCPSKY Kids with no jackets shouldn’t be waiting hours in snow. It’s not that hard to see the wide impact this decision had when you’re connected to the community. And not prioritizing safety as a #1 concern is a repeated behavior JCPS has been unaccountable for.

@afaris1978 @JCPSKY I mean the list of experiences I saw people have to navigate to try and prioritize their safety goes on and on. These experiences are lost and the work put in to make sure injuries are over looked when you try to quantify it with numbers.

@afaris1978 @waitingfordb @JCPSKY I don’t see how making up days is a safety concern. Being upset that people’s safety was risked when it was clear that there was a snow storm alert is valid. ESP after so many in KY have been traumatized by storms & we saw the gravity of sending people out in risky weather

I shouldn’t be hearing incident after incident and questioning how your most vulnerable populations are trying to navigate the terrible, unsafe situations this school system has put them in. None of this was the for the benefit of the community or children.

Furious at @JCPSKY for doing this to students & families. You’ve got parents & buses sliding all over the the road, many stranded out in the snow (some with no coats) bc their bus wrecked, students that didn’t get to eat or get home, and I’m sure so much more. Put people first!!
