Apologies to the local owners, but after the last two weeks, I’ll never cast a shadow on a BAM store. And my wife and I have been talking about visiting Utah for our anniversary, but at this point I think I’d just as soon visit a cartel-run region of Mexico.
@AndyStaples I never understood why Tennessee fans demand that everyone concede that Dixieland Delight is a song about Bama men coming across state lines and successfully wooing their most attractive women.
This might be very cliché, but it shouldn’t be, because I don’t think it’s said enough.
We live in a country and a society where everything revolves around money. People will sell their soul for a couple of bucks. People will do everything just to make a dollar. But with that comes the other side. People lose their minds when they’re tight. People get depressed, feel like failures, and give up if they don’t think they “made it.”
But here’s a thought.
Everybody understands that the two most important things for a person are family and health. You’ll always hear people say that if they, God forbid, get sick, they would give away all their money just to get their health back. Same with kids. People say they would give away everything just to have good, healthy kids.
But you know one thing no one would say? “I’m ready to give away my health and my kids for some money.” No one says that. No one says, “God, give me illness or suffering, just give me a million dollars.”
Because in those real moments, when someone is pressed into a corner, their priorities become clear.
So why lose your life over money? Why ignore your kids, your wife, your friends, and lose your mind for something that, deep down, you already know isn’t the most important?
What you have right now, your family, is priceless.
The tone of this article is so chill compared to even 2-3 years ago.
I'm not sure what problems the AI revolution will bring, but RIP Climate Change Hysteria - you will not be missed.
Most AI leaders enthusiastically claim the new technology will soon get so smart that it will solve the problem of climate change. Is that true?

@adamdorfx@MattWalshBlog What you are suggesting is not possible. What of the nations that choose not to be members of the federation? Will you force them to? If you deny their sovereignty and wield force over them, it is no longer a federation. It's an empire. A global empire.
@KirkHerbstreit@Joey_Galloway I know the people making the decisions that ruin CFB don't really care if the fans stay faithful. They are day-trading on college football. Pricing fans out of games seems like another catastrophic change that CFB won't survive. No one with any power to stop it seems to care.
@barnsalot If that is true, you’re recruiting the wrong players. HS recruiting has certainly been somewhat devalued by the transfer portal, but it should never be viewed as pointless. Turning over a roster every year or two can’t possibly be sustainable long-term.
@TheRealCruzOx B10 won the last two NCs, but their fans have never been more insecure. If they really believed the SEC was so weak, you’d think they’d want more of them in the playoffs so their teams could breeze their way to the championship. Makes little sense to me.
