Devon Larratt, former Canadian Tier 1 JTF2 operator, and professional arm wrestler.
Devon served 16 years in the Canadian military, primarily as a Tier 1 Special Forces operator with Joint Task Force 2 (JTF2). He deployed 7 times to Afghanistan, reportedly surviving a helicopter crash and an IED blast. He was also shot, and sustained shrapnel wounds to his hand.
While he was serving in JTF2, Devon honed his arm wresting table techniques and hand strength while stationed at various military bases.
As his arm wrestling career gained more international exposure and popularity, his face was becoming more frequently seen on popular networks like ESPN. Military security concerns required him to choose between being an elite operator or a public face in competitive sports.
He took a year of unpaid leave and officially retired from the military in 2016 to pursue arm wrestling full time.
The difference in how fast they weigh-in fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov & Khamzat Chimaev compared to Bryce Mitchell today is kinda crazy 😅

🤯 Devon Larratt Says He Saw an 8-Foot-Tall Giant While Serving in Afghanistan
“Our officer and a couple dudes went forward and we're looking at this guy. I mean, he was maybe twice as big. He was huge … Our officer was probably somewhere at the bottom of his chest.”
@nhlbedard What an absolute awful take. Jar Jar is widely considered the worst part of the entire prequel trilogy. Darth maul was epic and they dropped the bag by not expanding his screen time and backstory.
