🚨🚨🎙️ Roy Keane: “You’ll NEVER see proper professionals forcing moves like this… Alvarez needs to learn respect”
🎙️ Reporter: “Roy, what did you make of Julián Álvarez saying ‘This is not the moment to talk about it, but I also can’t hide. I’m trying to be an honest person. I have spoken with the people at Atlético Madrid and I think that what is best for everyone is a TRANSFER. I want to fulfil my dream’?”
🗣️ Roy Keane: “Listen, I’ve had enough of this. The kid’s 26. He’s been at Atlético a couple of seasons and he’s already telling the world he’s spoken to the club and a transfer is best for everyone because he wants to fulfil his dream.
‘This is not the moment to talk about it, but I can’t hide’? Are you kidding me? If it’s not the moment, then keep your mouth shut! But he can’t help himself. He’s got to go public with it.
‘I’m trying to be an honest person’? Come on. That’s just a fancy way of saying he’s forcing the issue while he’s still under contract.
‘What is best for everyone is a TRANSFER’? Best for everyone? Best for him, maybe. Not for Atlético Madrid, the club that signed him, paid the money and gave him the platform. You don’t decide what’s best for everyone when you’re still wearing their shirt. That’s not honesty — that’s selfishness dressed up as transparency.
You’ll NEVER see proper professionals or real team players doing this. The Argentina boys have won major trophies together because they respect each other and the process. They don’t go around publicly announcing their dream club and telling their current team a transfer is best for everyone. Those lads fight for the shirt they’re wearing right now.
Atlético brought him in to be the main striker. They gave him the chance. Now after a bit of success he’s already telling everyone Barcelona is the dream and he wants out?
You show respect to the club that pays you. You perform on the pitch, you win things where you are, and then you talk about moves if they come. You don’t force it by going to the media and saying a transfer is best for everyone.
He IS at Atlético Madrid right now. The standards, the mentality, the fight — that’s what you respect. If Alvarez wants to be great, he should be focused on delivering for Atlético and proving himself there, not announcing his dream and calling for a transfer. Otherwise he’ll be another player who talked too much about his dream club and forgot about the one that’s actually employing him.”

🔴NOVEDAD🔴
A mí me encantaría.
🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on poor officiating costing Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid a Champions league final spot
"The refereeing decisions were an absolute disgrace. Two stonewall penalties in the second half, clear as day: Giuliano Simeone gets clattered from behind in the box, Griezmann gets his foot stamped on by Calafiori, and what happens? Nothing. The ref bottles it, VAR bottles it, and suddenly Atletico's whole season, their dream, is gone just like that.
We've had years of this now – the players, the managers, the fans all screaming for better officiating, proper standards, accountability – and what changes? Sweet FA. Nothing. It's the same old story week after week. And it's sad, genuinely sad, that these moments, these massive errors from officials who are supposed to be the best in the world, end up deciding massive games. The lads out there are putting their bodies on the line, fighting for every inch, and one wrong call kills it all. It's killing the game."
🚨🗣️ Jamie Carragher on how Atlético Madrid were “robbed,” pointing to the two penalties that weren’t awarded and explaining how the IFAB rules support those decisions:
“Listen, I’ve been in this game a long time, played in some of the biggest nights in Europe but what we’ve just witnessed at the Emirates is an absolute DISGRACE. Atlético Madrid have been ROBBED blind in this Champions League semi-final, and if you’re an Arsenal fan celebrating right now, you should be embarrassed.
The laws of the game are crystal clear, and they’ve been twisted into knots to protect the home side. This isn’t refereeing, this is scripting!
First off, Gabriel’s blatant shirt-pull and yank on Giuliano Simeone, that’s a STONEWALL penalty under IFAB Law 12, plain and simple. Holding an opponent, impeding their progress, especially when the lad’s clean through on an empty net? It’s a direct free-kick in the box, it’s DOGSO, and in half these cases it’s a red card too.
VAR had every angle, Daniel Siebert and his German crew looked at it… and waved it away? Come on! If that was Saka or anyone in an Arsenal shirt, it’s given in a heartbeat. That’s not ‘not clear and obvious’, that’s officials hiding behind the screen to keep Arsenal in the tie. Robbery. Pure and simple.
Then Griezmann gets clattered in the box by Calafiori, reckless challenge, Law 12 again, careless or excessive force, penalty all day long. They invent some phantom ‘prior foul’ nonsense to bail them out?
VAR protocol doesn’t work like that! You’re meant to check the specific incident, not rewrite the build-up to favour the big Premier League club. Atlético are creating chance after chance, fighting with more heart than I’ve seen from some of these Arsenal players, and they get NOTHING. Soft calls one way, ignored shouts the other, time-wasting ignored, it’s one-way traffic from the whistle.
it’s not fair, it’s not right, and it’s a stain on the competition. Diego Simeone’s men deserve better than this. ¡ROBO! The football world is watching, and we all see it. What a joke.”
