I heard an interview today about AI in creative spaces and the man being interviewed said “AI is data, and Data can only look backwards. Creativity looks forwards.” And I need to sit with that in the best possible way.
Rory McIlroy commissioned this pencil drawing after last year's Masters Tournament.
The artist (@KeeganHall) provided context on Reddit:
• Spent 6+ months working on it
• Estimates 600-800+ total hours
• Worked on it 6-7 days each week
• Uses a Pentel Graphgear mechanical pencil
Hall says this piece was incredibly challenging because so much detail went into such a small area. For context, the original is smaller than 30x22, so each face in the crowd is essentially a quarter of the size of a fingernail.
This is the second piece he has done for Rory.
The best sports day isn’t the first Thursday of March Madness.
It’s the first Friday of March Madness after your team won on Thursday.
Zero stress. Just positive vibes and horrible gambling decisions. Nothing better.
NEW: Crowd goes absolutely nuts as Team USA female hockey stars Hilary Knight and Megan Keller are brought on stage during Saturday Night Live.
The women were introduced after Team USA men’s stars Jack and Quinn Hughes.
“It was gonna be just us, but we thought we'd invite the guys, too.”
I love, love. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve realized something important: while most people talk about love as the foundation of a healthy marriage or relationship, not enough people talk about respect, pride, and genuine admiration.
Marrying the right one for you is a major life hack.
The person you choose to marry will influence your sense of self, your professional trajectory and your sense of possibilities. Choose wisely.

I used to do sideline for Mountain West CFB games when TCU was in that conference.
Did a handful of TCU games.
Gary Patterson was unlike any coach I met anywhere else.
At Friday mtg with broadcasters, he asked where our crew was going for dinner.
Couple hours later, we’re in the restaurant… and here comes Gary.
The TCU HC came to the restaurant to put in an appearance and make sure everything was going well.
He did that every time we came through. Extended that hospitality on behalf of TCU.
It taught me 2 things about him:
1. He’s a people person. (When he talked in this press conference about coming from a small town and saying hi to people, I thought of this.)
2: He understood how to market his team. I don’t think this was the driving force, btw. But I thought it was so astute- to understand that the more people he could affect outside the TCU bubble, the better he could impact things in the TCU bubble.
We kept in touch over the years.
Christmas cards, etc.
He has a reputation as a tough coach. You’ll see him yelling a lot on the sideline.
But this is the man behind the coach. He’s a good one.
I’m thrilled he’s at USC.
