Lucknow: Salon Owner Sohaib Akhtar Arrested – Fake Hindu Identity Used to Trap, Exploit & Leak Private Videos of Hindu Girls

Lucknow Police have arrested salon owner Sohaib Akhtar (also known as Shoaib), originally from Gonda.

He allegedly created a fake Instagram account under the Hindu name ‘Saurabh Singh’ to befriend Hindu girls.
Police say he trapped them in fake relationships, sexually exploited them, recorded their private videos and photos, and then blackmailed them. He also leaked some private videos and pressured the girls to convert to Islam.

Sohaib ran a salon in Lucknow and lived in a rented house.
Using the fake Hindu identity, he gained the trust of Hindu girls.
After exploiting them, he recorded obscene videos, leaked some of them, and threatened to leak the rest if the girls didn’t agree to convert.

Police recovered many objectionable photos and videos from his phone, including content involving minors.
Police suspect there could be more victims. They are now investigating if anyone else was helping him in this alleged racket.
ACP BKT Gyanendra Singh said the accused is in custody. His phone and all social media accounts are being thoroughly checked.
