With today's Supreme Court ruling that "Election Day" (somehow) does not mean "Election Day," Congress has no more excuses:
1. Cancel August recess
2. Send the SAVE America Act to President Trump's desk for his signature
3. Pass legislation making crystal clear votes for federal offices must be received by Election Day

Today’s ruling is even MORE reason why Congress needs to take action to secure our elections.
We need to stop telling the American people that we can’t pass the SAVE America Act and we need to figure out how to get it done.
We’re talking about the foundation of our entire government. Failure is not an option here.
Congress exercised its constitutional authority to designate one federal Election Day—not election week, not election month.
This unfortunate decision further undermines trust in American elections and underscores the urgency of legislative action to secure them.
So, basically, we just learned that if a state passes a law to accept mail-in ballots weeks after Election Day,
SCOTUS will uphold the law.
This is how our country dies.
🇻🇪 Outrage is growing in Venezuela after a video surfaced showing Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello blocking U.S. search-and-rescue teams from reaching trapped victims. Following the powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake on June 24 that devastated parts of northern Venezuela (especially La Guaira), the U.S. deployed professional Urban Search & Rescue teams to help pull people from the rubble. In the footage, American rescuers can be heard saying someone is crying for help — only to be stopped by Cabello. In the middle of a disaster, every minute counts. This is indefensible.
At the Rapid City airport heading back to DC
& more folks are positively coming up to me.
They can’t believe that I was denied entry from the dinner
& I asked them to vote in the South Dakota gubernatorial runoff on Tuesday, July 28th.
Video reached a lot of South Dakotans.
