@WhiskeyRiff There was so much good music at that time, I feel like there are dozens of songs we just forgot about from singers we also forgot about. Reno is for sure one of them.
@nut_history As a Cubs fan, as tough as it is. It’s Pujols. I’m giving it up to Grace and W. Clark for honorable mention. Frank Thomas and Thome but they both DH more than 1B, so can’t do it. Love Gehrig but I don’t consider anything Pre WW2 as comparable. Pujols best hitter of my lifetime.
@Brett_A_Taylor Fire someone. Sacrifice a chicken, burn a pile of bats and gloves, talk to Mark Grace for suggestions……get in a fight, just do something!
@CubsWorld80 Can’t locate his fastball and gets beat on average off speed. Don’t let him throw off speed and if he cannot throw his fastball for a strike do not let him pitch. He’s a damn closer who throws over 100, don’t get beat by bottom of the lineup hitters on off speed.
@SamOlbur I know my blame should go to other places but he really irritates me. If you throw 102 you should be able to get an out in less than 18 pitches. Throws high and wide fastballs and gets beat with secondary pitches. It’s Alzolay part 2. HE DID NOT GET AN OUT?!
@BleacherNation I wouldn’t be in a hurry to get back to this team either. He looked rough before the injury and I think he’s another Taillion / Ray 5 plus ERA guy.
@nut_history Drew Smyly is the most hittable pitcher I’ve ever seen. Flat fastball a slow looping telegraphed curve. I’ve never said “I could hit that guy” about any pitcher in the MLB except him.
@VandyonTigers Move the mound back before .250 is considered a good average. This is stupid. No one can hit 95 mph sliders. No one threw max effort sliders because they were career Enders in the past. Now everyone throws them and gets surgery because there is nothing to lose.
@KFidds When you leave your pitcher in to give up 7 when you knew after 3 or 4 runs he didn’t have anything , that’s what happens. And it’s happening more than once per week.
