@HcafcT How you've managed to come out of a conversation where the owner of the club has just revealed outright that we're in a compromised position, meaning now club in their right mind will take players from us at market value: and you're blaming the EFL?
@JacobHorsfall_ Feel like full back isn't a position to invest significant resources in upon promotion unless the player is an absolute game-changer. At the end of the day we have Giles for LWB, so there's less risk attached to bringing in a Cirkin. Like when Ipswich signed Townsend
@JacobHorsfall_ Neither would be terrible back ups in the Premier League either, same goes for Matt Targett. Probably need to show more ambition if we want to survive, but they'd be astute savvy signings if they were happy to play potential bit part roles
@rh1912@cal_scfc Sent Stephen Kingsley our way in that deal as well, but we'd also sold Andy Robertson to Liverpool for £8m and Harry Maguire to Leicester for £16m that summer so...
@lkmfc1885@IamBalhamMatt That's quality, yeah the whole ethos of Millwall in the community and their work with the forces is top drawer, probably the best in the Championship. How well televised is Championship football in Canada?
@lkmfc1885@IamBalhamMatt You've got to find one of the three West Ham fans in Canada and at least spar, for culture's sake...
In all seriousness - Full respect to you following Millwall from Canada, how did you get into supporting them?
@HullCity1972 In fairness Steve, educational psychology suggests that smacking children is generally detrimental to their long term development. It's a case of boundaries but somewhere in the middle, not either side of the extremes if that makes sense.
@athamesy_ It might have been, but that interview he gave where he said 'that's the game PSG want you to play in regards to going forward: a proper leader tries to hold onto the ball and drive regardless. I think it's weak, especially when they had the talent to damage PSG
@Element_M1ller Out of curiosity - Why wouldn't you want the club funding the women's side? Even outside of the moral argument, it seems like terrible long term business not to have the women's side in tow.
@Callum_HCAFC I think hate's a strong word in this case. He doesn't seem a bad bloke: he just didn't culturally get it.
I can never get that image of his family in the West Stand surrounded by people hounding him in his final game out of my head: a grim period all round.
