@carebecc the way people talk about this book, i thought i was the only one to feel this way. genuinely enjoyed it otherwise. ive been praying the gosling charm wins out over the downright horrible dialogue from the book
@markocantdunk these pics look eerily similar to my shelves - both the collection & organization lolol. martyr! is fantastic, one of my favorite reads this year. babel is a bunch of fun, & can’t go wrong with anything by vonnegut. you got a lot of good ones to pick from.
player piano is a phenomenal read & while i should know never to doubt mr vonnegut, i gotta say i was surprised to read the chapter accurately describing the current state of the college football landscape
Never do this:
Passing off someone else’s work as your own.
This Grok Imagine effect with the day-to-night transition was created by me — and I’m pretty sure that person knows it.
To make things worse, their copy has more impressions than my original post.
Not cool 👎
Tadej Pogačar this year:

Just insane. The best sportsman on this planet currently. Change my mind. 🤯
This is part of what I find so frustrating. Kimmel didn't say that it was too early to speculate about the shooter's politics. He suggested that Robinson was MAGA based on no evidence whatsoever! He shouldn't have been fired but that was a fuck-up.

Nexstar Media, one of the largest U.S. TV station owners, said it will pull ABC’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live" after his remarks about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
"Mr. Kimmel’s comments about the death of Mr. Kirk are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse, and we do not believe they reflect the spectrum of opinions, views, or values of the local communities in which we are located,” said Andrew Alford, President of Nexstar’s broadcasting division. “Continuing to give Mr. Kimmel a broadcast platform in the communities we serve is simply not in the public interest at the current time, and we have made the difficult decision to preempt his show in an effort to let cooler heads prevail as we move toward the resumption of respectful, constructive dialogue."
