Since the world's richest nutbar ruined this social media site as a precursor to ruining as much of America as he can, I'm departed. Occasional comments only.
The U.S.A.: A nation of decent people run by unabashed racists and self serving crooks. America has become a perfect storm of immorality. Good luck to everyone suffering through this era of self-aggrandising greed from your captains of industry and weak-willed elected officials.
@Devin_Heroux Well, if 45,000 Edmontonians can come out to Commonwealth Stadium and watch the national men’s team play Uzbekistan in a constant torrential downpour I would hope Toronto can generate some excitement for the World Cup.
@PeterPetsel@Devin_Heroux You don’t think maybe, just maybe she enjoys playing the game and wants to again? She has won more singles Grand Slam tournaments than any other woman. If she qualifies as a “has been” to you how bitter and cynical a prick must you be? #SMH
@JacobPacheco6 She’s a guaranteed box-office draw, she’s a true legend and she’s always been great when when playing against, practicing with or just talking about Canadian players. It’s a no-brainer to offer her a WC.
@JacobPacheco6 Felix keeps improving. He has a steady team, he’s happily married and he wants to be better. The goal is to continue to rise in the ranks. But also - to be competitive when playing the top 3 guys. FAA won both matches against Zverev last year. Things are not bleak for Felix. 🙂
@JacobPacheco6 Felix is off on a bit of a mental walkabout. I don’t think anyone thought it was going to be a straight sets victory but FAA needs his ‘A’ game back… soon!
@JacobPacheco6@user1548829 The wind is significant. Many will suggest that will be bad for FAA but both players have to adjust. We’ll see who handles it the best.
@JacobPacheco6 Maybe now all the commentators going on about Fonseca finishing off Djokovic, the “greatest returner in the history of the game” with 3 consecutive aces will acknowledge Djokovic was quite tired and could hardly move. They elevated the teen to the no. 2 favourite to win RG. Nope!
@JacobPacheco6 The torrential downpour and wind has been relentless for two solid days. Local total amounts up to 150 mm in Edmonton are possible through Tuesday. Hats off to the brave souls who are in attendance. Please let all players on both teams go injury-free.
@JacobPacheco6 Both players have evolved since then. Also, for one of them Felix was bagged after the 2024 Paris Olympics. He felt obligated to play because it was In Canada but had it been any other tournament he would likely not have played. If today’s FAA shows up for the QF then watch out!
@JacobPacheco6 Every subsequent round will be the biggest test, but it’s also the biggest test for each opponent.
As reported, no one can now knock Felix out of being a career high no. 4 in the world come Monday. Well… if Zverev loses to Jodar tomorrow FAA would be no. 3 if he wins the 🏆. 😉
@JacobPacheco6 He’s looking good and his experience and maturity is shining through.
The “official” new ATP rankings do not go up until one week from today, but should Felix win this match he WILL achieve a new ranking high of no. 4 in the world. No one can catch him.
