Melton will regress closer to a 3 era, but at the end of the day 80 innings is a large enough sample to not negate a 1.5 era completely. Expect melton to continue to have more success than joey

How can you say the frequency at which you allow baserunners wont indicate how likely you are to give up runs? The statistical correlation coefficient between WHIP and ERA in Major League is between 0.75 and 0.85.
