Jake Handler is a slender and very projectable left handed pitcher from Richardson, TX. Handler has smooth pitching mechanics and repeats his delivery very well. The southpaw releases each of his three pitches from the same high 3/4 arm slot and has the ability to work all four quadrants of the strike zone. Jake’s best pitch is his 84 mph fastball that comes in on a downward plane, which allows him to mix in his secondary pitches well and create a high swing-and-miss rate to both left and right handed hitters due to the amount of deception. Jake Handler is a solid college pitching prospect with a very high ceiling and is also an excellent student.
