Xbox's strategy so far under Asha seems to have been just cheap wins and chasing their tail. I'm not sure why they feel so inclined to talk so much and do interviews, but they should probably just stay silent until they have a plan in place.
If people in the industry are confused about what they are doing, I can't imagine how confusing it is for a casual gamer.
About time XBOX management starts shutting this down because usually they let it run like wildfire,
and the thought process felt like bad publicity is still good publicity.
This is not correct:
• In the interview, I am asked about a comment I made before being hired at XBOX, then state that I was only 10 days into the role, and that I am not stating the company's plans or beliefs
• What I do say is that ads should be used to offer more affordable alternatives alongside today's ad-free experiences, in the hopes more could play as a result. Similar to how Netflix and Disney+ have ad-tiers with all the same content, but at half the price or so
• At no point do I even mention in-game ads
(I personally believe interrupting the gameplay experience would be bad)
@Trvpergawd Putting games on PC wasn't a great idea, but at least you had reason to buy an Xbox if you were a console gamer. putting games on PS5 means Xbox is redundant completely. I hope they stop Steam support in the future.
@thefelourfog@Delta1169 That's been the issue the whole time with Phil Spencer. He did save Xbox from its inevitable death back in 2016. but his management skills were God awful.
You buy a playstation, it's a problem. You buy an Xbox, it's a problem. You buy a pc but not a high end one, it's a problem and you're broke.
Some of you guys care way too much about the dumbest shit
