You should check this out Clay Newcomb does and awesome job illustrating this point. I believe thatโs in part two though.
@OGCollin This is definitely true, General Lee was actually anti-Slavery but he was a Virginia man and refused to fight against his home state. That said the war was started over the states rights to slavery and 700k men died over it.
@livedim2010@OGCollin@johnbrown2011@Gatorov10@ChrisCadence_ For the love of god make a point bro ๐Lincoln stated before the war, multiple times he did not want to end slavery in the south, he wanted to stop it from spreading to new states. He only ended slavery in an attempt to gender the agrarian economy of the south
@OGCollin@johnbrown2011@Gatorov10@ChrisCadence_ Be more specific, Iโm not sure what youโre asking because yes, he did sign the 13th Amendment into law. On the other hand heโs been quoted as a staunch segregationist and wanted to phase out slavery over time. He signed the 13th as a tactical move. Not sure what youโre asking.
@johnbrown2011@Gatorov10@ChrisCadence_ Correct, I mean the whole civil war conflict is much more complex than that but in essence yes. I beg you say something stupid, itโs been a day already and it would make me feel better to bury somebody on here.
@johnbrown2011@Gatorov10@ChrisCadence_ Literally their own brothers, people they grew up with, their own families. All so slaves could be free. What dumbass point are you trying to make with that?
@prieurdp Sorry I donโt like backing out into the lane blindly when I leave. People fly and pay no attention to what theyโre doing in parking lots. Excuse me for not wanting to get blind ear holed by some bitch going 30 in a parking lot on her phone.
