I tend to agree with you but I’m also confused about the agent’s motivation here. Anyone with 2 eyes can see he will be a lottery pick next year which directly translates to more money and a better resume for the agent. When looking to land future clients, touting a lottery pick vs a fringe second rounder is much better for the agent long term
