College football is such a gift.
Saturdays in the fall are precious.
Extreme ranges of emotion.
Beautifully unpredictable.
Identities that define entire regions.
Cherished traditions that cross generations.
Pride for who and what we are.
Just fabulous.
You know what REALLY sucks about my timeline of College Football diehards complaining about the expansion to 24 teams?
The decision-makers don't give a damn; they are kicking their feet up today, counting dollar bills, laughing at the people who built this sport.
Sources: The College Football Playoff is nearing a deal to expand to 24 teams, per sources. The new format will start in 2027 and is expected to come together in the near future, pending final approvals.
DII Ohio Dominican was up 34-12 in the 4th Quarter
FCS Morehead State came all the way back and needed one stop on 4th and 12 for the overtime win…
Magic ensued and Ohio Dominican went onto pull off the DII > DI upset in 3OT
CFB is BACK
Its hard to explain that feeling of waking up sore from your HS football game the night before, coming downstairs to the living room hearing college game day in the background and the smell of fresh pancakes being made.
Knowing for the entire day you have nothing planned but sitting in front of that TV, watching football, and feeding yourself whatever your mom decides to cook up that day.
If you didn’t live it, it’s hard to explain!
As technology usage grows at the Division II level, I want to post a thread on my Stuff+ model and how it integrates with our development:
After compiling D2 games from ‘25 & ‘26 through TrackMan’s FTP server, I developed a D2-specific Stuff+ model trained on over 350k pitches.
Highly recommend giving this a listen if you’re a current high school baseball player. Lots of information and takeaways from this, that you can apply to yourself and the way you go about your business!

First year @SFGiants Manager Tony Vitello (@tony22vitello_) with a perfect illustration of the benefit of delayed gratification and what development looks like in one word: Sequence.
Sequence is essential to development. We live in a world that rewards instant gratification, but growth doesn't work that way. There has to be some level of patience or pain beforehand. 🔙
🗺️ Every meaningful outcome is built on a foundation of patience, repetition, and accumulated learning. If you want to get somewhere, you have to map out the journey and respect the order of operations.
🎳 The problem is that many people want the reward before they've earned the lessons. They want the title before the responsibility, the results before the process, and the success before the struggle. But sustainable success requires sequence.
🪜 You can't skip steps without skipping the growth that step was designed to teach you. Every stage prepares you for the next one, and when you try to rush the process, you often delay the outcome.
The fastest way to reach your destination is usually to stop looking for shortcuts and start respecting the sequence. 📍
