After tonight’s action, only one of the 5 teams from the invincible SEC selected for the CFP will have made it out of the quarterfinals. When the sun rises tomorrow the SEC will have a 4-8 record in 2025 bowl games. Can we stop with the SEC is the best conference in the history of college football narrative? Notre Dame should have recieved Alabama’s slot. And they would have if the SEC officiating crew had the courage and integrity to call the blatant hold (tackle) that gave the Texas A&M quarterback the extra two seconds he needed to throw the winning touchdown pass on the final play of that game back in September. I would have loved to see Notre Dame play Indiana today. Indiana is a heck of a football team and Notre Dame would’ve had to play a nearly perfect game to have a chance to beat them. But it would’ve been a geeat game! I’ll be rooting for the Hoosiers the rest of the way.
