@missrashfordx@BBC Except you didn't make it clear in the pitch itself. How are the BBC actually going to know this?
Also, your pitch would be picked apart by anybody that reads it. I believe my criticisms to be fair as it sounds like idealism from a fan.
@ESCKieran03@missrashfordx@BBC Why are we giving 66% of our selection to a song that the UK selects? I don't see how people get on board with this. UMK is 75% Televote.
@missrashfordx@BBC And finally, you never actually say where these artists are coming from. The BBC already has BBC Introducing which was used in 2014. But you make no mention of it. Why?
@missrashfordx@BBC What's the actual benefit to the BBC for all of this. Yes, you've got musically. But that's a lot of investment for just that. With the arenas, I don't see why they'd go along with it. If you're looking to push something to the BBC, underappreciated areas is the angle.
Shame an escaped hospital patient that looked like @BoyGeorge had to ruin what seemed otherwise a fun song.
Two lines of garbage that nobody will remember and detracts from a potential guilty pleasure with somebody giving it their all.
Embarrassing really.

@rcl51087@smclaughlin93 There is a version with an unconfirmed word in it. Unfortunately, Scott McLaughlin doesn't stand by his word and won't confirm it.*
*Hoping belittling him works.
@F1mech Came across this tweet from hearing that quote. I don't disagree with them. I'm sure your book does have a lot of interesting discussions as you've mentioned. But if somebody were to do that in my presence, it would make me feel uncomfortable. Let alone other groups.
Honestly, the story they did in Series 7 with Martin questioning his gender is more about trans issues than they do here.
Because it's not delving into trans issues, does it mean I dislike it? No. It introduced us to a character and actress I like and want to see more of.
To be honest, as trans storylines go, it's less about trans issues unless you focus on it as such because culture war.
It's more of an Alzheimer's storyline that happens to use a character transitioning to question whether them being forgotten is how they've always, truly felt.
🖋️ "Waterloo Road, which is back on BBC One, has a new storyline about a transgender teenager. And you won’t believe how crass it is," writes Michael Deacon

So yeah. Helps to have watched the show before rather than using it as an excuse to froth at the mouth because they allowed a trans person to exist.
In 2006, these same people would have gone mad that there was a gay kid and a sexual assault case where they question the system.
