Our first Daddy-Daughter Dance hit me hard. All I could think was, before I know it she’ll be wearing a white dress and I’ll be walking her down the aisle. Nothing beats being “Dad” to this sweet girl.
Grayson County boys basketball head coach Travis Johnston has been named the KABC 3rd Region Coach of the Year. The Cougars have had the most wins in a season since 2011/12 and have just completed their first undefeated home record since 2008/09. Congrats, Coach J!
Thank you to Sports Spectrum for documenting and reporting on all these Super Bowl participants sharing their love for Jesus this week. It’s been amazing to see and I thank you for helping to spread The Word!
Jake, why are you a Christian? In short, God gave His only son for me to make a way for me and all others to go to Heaven despite all the wrongs we have done. My life in Christ is a life filled with grace, love, and joy which He gives and this world and its pleasures cannot.
Powerful: Notre Dame QB Riley Leonard gives all the credit to Jesus for their win:
"Shoot, I just trusted in the Lord. I looked up and said, 'Jesus, whatever your will is for my life, I trust it 100 percent.'"
What a role model 🙏❤️
Merry Christmas! I’m thankful for what this day means to me and my family as we celebrate together and celebrate the birth of Jesus. What a gift He has been to me and my family. Give God a chance, give your life to Him, and see your life be changed forever! John 3:16.
During yesterday's win over Henry County, Grayson County head coach Travis Johnston picked up his 100th career win. Johnston, who is also the all-time leading scorer for the boys program, is in his eighth year leading the team. This year, the Cougars are 8-1. Congrats, Coach J!
Mark Pope talks about the importance of gratitude:
"Gratitude needs to be practiced. There are very few things that I will say are 100 percent truths: You cannot be more happy than you are grateful. This is just a true principle of life. It's so true.
"Gratitude is something that we have, but it's something we have to practice. If you are grateful, by definition, you will 100 percent be happy. Grateful people are happy. Ungrateful people have a really tough time being happy.
"You see rich people that are happy and rich people that are sad. You see famous people that are happy and famous people that are sad. You see poor people that are sad and poor people that are happy. It doesn't matter the circumstance, it matters the gratitude that you bring with it."
