Recently I have actually heard of numerous colleges/ college buildings that were named after previous slave holders and therefor glorifying them in a way. I am glad that professor Mount is bringing this into light as well. #AuburnWorldHistory
It’s sad that we celebrate places like this and no one knows where they came from or how terribly slaves may have been treated in the making of what we now celebrate. #AuburnWorldHistory
@Historyposts90 From what I understood of this article, I would say this is an accurate description of Neoliberalism. This is an idea birthed from a greedy wealthy class. #AuburnWorldHistory
Before reading this article I was unaware of Neoliberalism. I find it interesting when David Harvey talks about how understanding Neoliberalism helps us understand so many crises throughout the world. #AuburnWorldHistory
Personally, I do not believe we should end capitalism. I believe capitalism keeps people motivated, drives people to do their best work, and I believe our country will benefit as a whole for the competitive nature that comes along with capitalism. #AuburnWorldHistory
@klj0045 It is terrifying knowing that people who are not fond of the United States could get their hands on such a destructive weapon. #AuburnWorldHistory
@CarterZaneZane I have a ton of respect for these African Americans and their bravery as well as their determination to improve their situations. #AuburnWorldHistory
