It's astonishing how many people are behaving as though Clinical Officer specializations are a new invention. Every time I post about them, the reactions make it obvious many have no idea these programmes have existed for nearly 20 years. Today, Clinical Officers have 24 Higher Diploma (HND) specializations and 28 Master's degree programmes approved by the Clinical Officers Council (COC). Sometimes ignorance speaks louder than facts.

@Genesismwanzo1 A clinician from Kisii Teaching and referral hospital used to tell us stories of how they were tear-gassed and clobbered in demonstrations while fighting for Bsc Clinical Medicine. Unfortunately, she is now doing MBChB and will not benefit fully on what she deeply fought for.

I graduated last on August 17th 2025 , did NCK licensure exam on Nov 14th 2025 , waited until today for internship posting only to find myself excluded ! The response given is we should wait until next year July 2027 to be prioritised. That's 2 years post graduation !

@yanitedshakes @SlySilva7 The worst decision they can make. Imagine, sitting at home for 1+ years after graduation waiting for posting just for you to be licenced. This internship should be abolished.
